Planning & Programming

Our planners and programmers have extensive experience in planning and programming a project from conception through to completion and retrospectively creating as built programmes. Blinch can provide reports identifying the critical paths demonstrating cause and effect of delay events.

Our programmers are skilled at forensically investigating delay events and disruption to the works and providing demonstrative analysis and reporting on issues of delay and disruption. Our programmers are able to  marshal and assemble evidence to support and/or defeat a delay and disruption claim. Working together with quantity surveyors we can establish the damages manifesting from delay and disruption to the critical  path and planned sequence of work activities.

Our probing skills are founded upon years of experience tested by working alongside an analytical team of lawyers and construction professionals.

We thoroughly understand the evidential burdens which must be overcome to persuade a reader that certain delay events have caused a material effect on the project completion date.

Contractors, subcontractors and employers alike require these skills for successful evaluation and presentation of time delay claims when analysing and evaluating an extension of time entitlement under a construction contract.

It is essential that a party properly ascertains the risks and liability in order to make an informed decision as to the way forward. Selecting the most appropriate technique to suit the project, facts, timetable, nature of the delay events and the size and complexity of the potential dispute must all be holistically considered before deploying the resources to effectively deal with the issue.
